About the Role
Domeo Resources International (DRI) is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-ored Chief Accountant to lead the Finance & Accounts department for our client's hotel operations. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all financial records, accounting operations, cash management, and revenue audits to drive business profitability and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with approved hotel policies and financial standards.
- Oversee daily hotel revenue audits, reconciling sales across rooms, food and beverage, and events with POS and PMS systems.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and statutory deductions (tax compliance in Nigeria).
- Collaborate with management to prepare annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance against targets.
- Implement stringent internal controls, inventory management, and cost-control measures to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial leakage.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow statements for executive leadership.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least a couple of years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within the hospitality sector.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or ANAN is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in hotel accounting operations, PMS/POS systems, Nigerian tax laws, and financial reporting.
