Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College (OSCCO), Osogbo, an elite co-educational secondary school owned by the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons aligned with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed laboratory and classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry.
- Prepare students effectively for internal examinations as well as key external assessments like WAEC and NECO.
- Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Uphold the core values, ethos, and code of conduct of our Catholic institution.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education with Chemistry, or a related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven knowledge of modern pedagogical approaches and curriculum delivery in science education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to educational excellence, professional integrity, and continuous learning.
- Prior teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting will be considered a significant added advantage.
