About the Role
Catoky International Group of Schools has a proud history of academic excellence and holistic student development since 1998. We are currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join our esteemed faculty in Port Harcourt. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping young minds, fostering a deep appreciation for the sciences, and guiding students toward academic success in both local and international curricula.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Develop instructional resources and scheme of work aligned with secondary school educational standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student curiosity and active participation.
- Supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to strict safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in school-1sponsored extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student academic performance and behavioral development.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven teaching experience in Chemistry at the secondary school level.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field (NCE or PGDE is an added advantage).
- Strong command of secondary school Chemistry concepts and practical laboratory techniques.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Must reside within Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
