About the Role
Bradfield Consulting is recruiting a skilled Bentonite Operator to oversee slurry plant operations, equipment maintenance, and quality support for bored piling and diaphragm wall construction. This on-site role ensures a continuous and reliable supply of bentonite and polymer slurry while upholding strict safety and environmental standards across various project sites in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Operate bentonite mixing plants, slurry pumps, desanding units, and storage tanks.
- Monitor slurry circulation, transfer, storage, and recovery during active construction.
- Conduct pre-start equipment inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Support slurry sampling, testing, and material consumption monitoring.
- Maintain daily operating logs, records of production, and equipment hours.
- Ensure full compliance with site HSE requirements and environmental policies.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience operating bentonite plants and slurry systems.
- Technical, vocational, or trade qualification is strongly preferred.
- Practical expertise with mixing plants, pumps, desanders, and pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience in bored piling or diaphragm wall construction sites.
- Willingness to work on-site in Lagos and travel to project locations across Nigeria.
