We are currently seeking a skilled Barbecue / Grill Chef to bring expertise, high energy, and creativity to our bustling kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, season, and grill a wide variety of meats, seafood, and signature native dishes to perfection.
- Manage grill stations efficiently during peak operational hours to ensure timely service.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate supply needs to the head chef.
- Experiment with new marinades, rubs, and grilling techniques to enhance the restaurant's menu offerings.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and presentation across all dishes.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional grilling or line cook experience in a busy restaurant setting.
- Deep knowledge of African native cuisine, seafood preparation, and various barbecue techniques.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols, kitchen hygiene, and equipment handling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
