About the Role
eHealth4everyone is a leading digital health social enterprise dedicated to making the world healthier through technology-enabled optimizations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Backend (PHP) Developer who is passionate about web development and creating scalable applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with front-end developers to deliver seamless server-side logic, efficient databases, and high-performance web solutions that impact healthcare delivery across Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzing complex website and application requirements to design robust back-end architecture.
- Writing clean, maintainable back-end code and building efficient, reusable PHP modules.
- Developing advanced back-end portals integrated with optimized relational and non-relational databases.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application and code issues proactively.
- Integrating secure data storage solutions and handling API integration requests from front-end developers.
- Finalizing back-end features, conducting rigorous testing, and continuously updating applications to enhance performance.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of proven professional experience in Backend Web Development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel framework) and intermediate knowledge of JavaScript (Node.js, Express).
- Hands-on experience with databases including MySQL (MariaDB), MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented PHP programming and scalable application design.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git and SVN, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
