About the Role
Strivo Labs is a premier provider of end-to-end digital solutions, helping businesses scale with speed and precision through custom software, automation, and MVP development. We are currently seeking a talented Backend / Integration Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will build, maintain, and optimise critical backend services and integrations that connect our core lending platform with third-party providers spanning identity verification, credit assessment, payments, and collections. You will play a vital part in ensuring our financial technology infrastructure is secure, highly reliable, and meticulously documented to support our rapid business expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and optimise third-party integrations, webhooks, and callbacks with secure signature verification and robust retry mechanisms.
- Design, develop, and maintain internal APIs powering customer portals, staff consoles, and business dashboards.
- Implement comprehensive automated tests and active monitoring to guarantee integration reliability and catch potential issues early.
- Manage sensitive credentials securely, maintaining strict access controls and complete audit trails of all integration activities.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and swiftly resolve production incidents while preparing detailed root-cause analysis reports.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical teams to enhance overall system performance, security compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience building backend services using Python or TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong practical experience developing and integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and callbacks.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and comprehensive database management.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with fintech platforms, payment gateway integrations, or lending systems.
- Solid understanding of Git version control workflows and automated testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and financial data privacy principles.
