About the Role
Topgate Automations and Controls Limited is a premier engineering firm registered in Nigeria (RC 1096308), specializing in cutting-edge industrial automation, process control, instrumentation, and electrical installations. We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the seamless execution of complex industrial projects for our diverse clientele across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement robust automation solutions tailored for various industrial processes.
- Program, configure, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and related control infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex automation systems, diagnose faults rapidly, and optimize overall system performance.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to improve plant efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Provide expert technical support, system documentation, and comprehensive training to end-users and junior staff.
- Manage project components efficiently from conception through to final commissioning and handover.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Master's degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 10 years of demonstrable professional experience in industrial automation and process control.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in programming major PLC and SCADA platforms.
- Deep understanding of industrial instrumentation, electrical installation standards, and project management methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
