About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited, a premier hospitality consulting firm incorporated in 2009, is seeking a qualified Hotel Auditor to join our dynamic team in Area 3, Abuja (FCT). In this vital role, you will independently examine financial records, verify daily revenues, and strengthen internal control systems to protect our client properties against fraud and financial irregularities while elevating hospitality standards across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Examine financial records, payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and general accounting documents for accuracy.
- Verify daily income generated from rooms, restaurants, bars, events, laundry, and other hotel amenities.
- Review night audit reports, guest bills, room occupancy rates, discounts, complimentary rooms, and daily sales records.
- Monitor cash collections, cash deposits, POS transactions, bank transfers, and perform bank reconciliation reviews.
- Conduct periodic stock checks on food, beverages, housekeeping materials, maintenance items, and general hotel supplies.
- Verify staff attendance, salary payments, allowances, deductions, and overtime claims through payroll audits.
- Ensure departmental compliance with established financial procedures, identifying suspicious transactions and revenue leakages.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports alongside actionable recommendations to management.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is a strong added advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant auditing experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel operations industry.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, inventory control, and hotel operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and industry-standard accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and high-level attention to detail.
