About the Role
Owolabi University is a rapidly growing private institution located in Osun State, dedicated to delivering transformative higher education and fostering groundbreaking research. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in June 2026, we are expanding our Faculty of Allied and Health Science and invite an accomplished academic to join our esteemed faculty.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Professor of Physiotherapy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of our department. Your core duties will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Physiotherapy.
- Conducting rigorous, impactful research and publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Mentoring junior academic staff and successfully supervising postgraduate research students.
- Contributing to curriculum development, academic administration, and departmental quality assurance initiatives.
- Participating in faculty meetings, university committees, and community outreach health programs.
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Physiotherapy or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- A minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated academic leadership with a robust portfolio of at least twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Proven track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students.
- Demonstrated administrative experience within a university academic environment.
