About the Role
Nile University of Nigeria, a esteemed member of Honoris United Universities, is seeking a dedicated and visionary Associate Professor of Nursing to join our vibrant academic community in Abuja. In this role, you will report to the Head of Department and play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional educational experiences, driving impactful research, and upholding our high standards of academic excellence within the College of Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students.
- Develop innovative curricula and course materials suitable for multi-platform delivery.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies and expand the institutional knowledge base.
- Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations in line with university guidelines.
- Conduct high-impact research, securing funding and publishing papers in reputable academic journals and books.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, academic conferences, and institutional events.
- Provide mentorship and academic support to students and junior colleagues.
- Must hold a Ph.D. degree and be a designated Reader with extensive experience in teaching, research, and university administration.
- Demonstrated record of substantial publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven track record of successful undergraduate and postgraduate student supervision.
- High level of professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
- Active affiliation with a recognized professional nursing body.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and modern video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
