About the Role
Owolabi University, a newly established and NUC-licensed private institution in Osun State, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor of Cybersecurity to join our prestigious Faculty of Science and Computing. Operating from our take-off site in Osogbo, we are committed to delivering world-class higher education and driving impactful technological research in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in cybersecurity and allied computing disciplines to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Provide visionary academic leadership in curriculum development, course design, and departmental strategic planning.
- Supervise postgraduate students at the Master and PhD levels to foster rigorous academic research and innovation.
- Conduct high-impact research, contributing at least twenty scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in administrative duties, faculty committees, and university-wide community engagement initiatives.
- Possess a PhD in Cybersecurity or a closely related computing discipline from a reputable and recognized university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Show verifiable evidence of academic leadership and successful postgraduate student supervision.
- Maintain a strong publication record with a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly articles in reputable journals.
