About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria invites accomplished biotechnology professionals to join our faculty as an Associate Professor. Established in 2021, MIU stands as West Africa's landmark institution and the first Indian university campus on the African continent. Located on a sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, strategically positioned along the Federal Capital Territory-Abuja corridor, we are fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
As an Associate Professor, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission to deliver skill-oriented, international-quality education. You will mentor the next generation of biotechnology professionals while conducting impactful research that bridges Indian academic excellence with Nigeria's evolving industrial demands.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate biotechnology courses with international standards
- Conduct original research and publish findings in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- Mentor and supervise graduate research students
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement
- Collaborate with industry partners on applied research initiatives
- Participate in departmental and university governance
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology or closely related discipline
- Minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- At least 8 years of teaching, research, and relevant university experience
- Strong track record of academic excellence and research productivity
- Commitment to fostering innovation and international collaboration
This appointment is subject to favorable external assessment and compliance with NUC regulations.
