About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, and currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in June 2026, our institution is dedicated to widening access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a fast-changing world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor of Accounting to join our esteemed Faculty of Management and Social Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Accounting and related disciplines.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Successfully supervise postgraduate students, including Master's and PhD candidates.
- Provide robust academic leadership and contribute to curriculum development within the department.
- Participate actively in administrative duties, faculty meetings, and institutional committee work.
- Possession of a PhD degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong portfolio of academic leadership with at least twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful supervision of postgraduate students.
