About the Role
Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC) is a leading Nigerian trading firm specializing in the export of premium quality agro-commodities including raw cocoa beans, cashew, and sesame. We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Assistant Quality Control Lead to manage daily quality assurance operations at our Kano Warehouse. In this critical role, you will ensure that all incoming and processed sesame meet our stringent export standards while maintaining the absolute independence of quality decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the sampling, testing, and inspection of incoming raw and cleaned sesame at the Kano hub in strict compliance with approved protocols.
- Review daily quality results against approved specifications, promptly identifying and escalating non-conforming lots to leadership.
- Ensure proper lot segregation, physical labelling, and end-to-end traceability from receipt through processing to final release or rejection.
- Support the implementation of quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct regular refresher training for QC personnel.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Procurement, Warehouse, and Cleaning teams while upholding strict quality independence.
- Maintain a direct reporting line with the Sagamu hub to ensure standardized quality metrics across all company locations.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven quality control or assurance experience within the agro-commodity, food processing, or export sector.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards or prior experience in an accredited laboratory environment is a strong advantage.
