About the Role

In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing library resources, supporting student and faculty research, and promoting modern information literacy within a rapidly evolving educational landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the day-to-day administration and management of university library resources, services, and facilities.
- Catalog, classify, and index books, periodicals, digital archives, and other academic materials accurately.
- Provide reference and research support to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as faculty members.
- Promote the use of electronic databases, e-journals, and other digital library tools among the university community.
- Maintain records of circulation, acquisitions, and library inventory while ensuring a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with academic departments to identify and acquire relevant literature and learning materials.
- Participate in university committees and contribute to departmental research initiatives and academic development programs.
- Possession of a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of completion or valid exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in managing modern library management systems and electronic databases.
- Demonstrated bias for academic research and a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
