The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Assistant Lecturer in Veterinary Microbiology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures and practical laboratory sessions in Veterinary Microbiology.
- Assist senior faculty members in curriculum development, course material preparation, and academic assessments.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects and provide academic mentoring and counseling.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings as assigned.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives and professional veterinary outreach programs.
- Possess a good Bachelor's degree (Second Class Honours or equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine or a relevant biological science from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must hold a Master's degree in Veterinary Microbiology or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publishing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Membership in relevant professional veterinary bodies will be an added advantage.
