About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Pharmacy as an Assistant Lecturer in Pharmacology and Toxicology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and advancing pharmaceutical research within a state-of-the-art learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmacology and Toxicology to undergraduate pharmacy students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools in line with academic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
- Conduct original research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings, as well as academic events and community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their personal and professional development.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmacy, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A relevant Ph.D. or registration for a Ph.D. will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated teaching experience or academic training within a tertiary institution.
- A strong record of research publications in reputable academic journals is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
