About the Role
The Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to join our esteemed academic community as an Assistant Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology.
- Assist senior academic staff in curriculum development, course material preparation, and academic research projects.
- Supervise undergraduate student research, projects, and industrial training placements.
- Participate actively in department meetings, faculty committees, and university community service initiatives.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Assess and grade student assignments, practical reports, and examinations in a timely and fair manner.
- Possess a good Bachelor's degree (Second Class Honours or higher) in Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must hold a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publishing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) is an added advantage.
