About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, and currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026, our institution was founded to widen access to quality higher education and prepare graduates for a fast-changing world. We are seeking a dynamic and academically driven Assistant Lecturer in Nursing Science to join the esteemed Faculty of Allied and Health Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate nursing students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials in line with NUC standards and contemporary healthcare practices.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects and clinical placements.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and support to students.
- Possess a research-based Master's Degree in Nursing Science or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Must have at least one (1) year of full-time post-qualification teaching or professional experience.
- Must possess a Master’s Degree result that qualifies for a PhD Degree and must have registered for a PhD program in a reputable university.
