We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Mental/Psychiatric Nursing to join our vibrant Department of Nursing Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Mental and Psychiatric Nursing to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with current professional and academic standards.
- Supervise student clinical placements, research projects, and fieldwork within psychiatric health facilities.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic advising, student mentoring, and university committee services.
- Possess a minimum of a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Nursing Science with a specialization in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized university.
- Current valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the tertiary level or significant clinical experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Strong research profile and evidence of scholarly publications will be an added advantage.
