About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University, a leading comprehensive public institution established in 1962 and located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is seeking a motivated and academically driven Assistant Lecturer in Educational Technology. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for teaching, research, and innovation in digital learning environments to contribute to our esteemed Faculty of Education and help shape the next generation of educators.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Educational Technology.
- Assist in the development, review, and updating of curriculum materials, instructional media, and e-learning resources.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, field placements, and academic research activities.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students regarding their academic progress and career development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and contribute to administrative duties as assigned.
- A good honours Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- A relevant Master’s degree in Educational Technology or a closely related field.
- An ongoing Ph.D. program in Educational Technology with demonstrable progress.
- Clear evidence of teaching potential and active research interest.
