About the Role
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria, a reputable private conventional institution established in 2005, is seeking a qualified and passionate Assistant Lecturer to join the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate students within the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education.
- Develop, update, and review curricula and course materials in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students on academic progression, career paths, and moral conduct.
- Perform administrative and other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or University Management.
- Possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Areas of Specialization: Arabic Education, Islamic Studies Education, English Language Education, Social Studies Education, Political Science Education, and Economics Education.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and pedagogical skills.

- Prior teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution will be an added advantage.
