About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria invites qualified academics to join our Biotechnology department as an Assistant Lecturer. Established in 2021, MIU stands as West Africa's premier Indian university, combining world-class Indian academic excellence with Nigeria's dynamic industrial landscape. Located on our expansive Masaka campus in Nasarawa State, strategically positioned along the FCT-Abuja corridor, we are fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). As an Assistant Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering skill-oriented, internationally-benchmarked education while advancing biotechnology research and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical instruction in biotechnology to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Develop and maintain current, relevant curriculum aligned with international biotechnology standards
- Conduct original research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications in biotechnology
- Supervise student projects, internships, and laboratory work
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
- Contribute to the university's research mission and scholarly output
- Master's Degree in Biotechnology or a closely related discipline
- Bachelor's Degree with Second Class Upper (or equivalent) in Biotechnology or relevant field
- Minimum of two (2) scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Strong commitment to research, teaching excellence, and student mentorship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
