We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to join our healthcare team in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will provide senior nursing supervision, support nursing leadership, and coordinate comprehensive patient care within our out-patient or in-patient services to ensure the highest standards of medical delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior nursing leadership and supervision within the assigned out-patient or in-patient care stream.
- Supervise, mentor, and appraise nursing staff while actively supporting their professional development.
- Maintain accurate, timely nursing records and uphold rigorous clinical governance standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention practices and patient safety protocols.
- Act as a senior resource for clinical escalation, complex decision-making, and incident reporting.
- Coordinate shift handovers, admission and discharge planning, and specialized clinic procedures.
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification or a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc/BSc Nursing) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-registration NMCN experience, with substantial background at the Principal Nursing Officer grade.
- Valid NMCN registration/licence and current MCPDP compliance.
- Additional post-basic nursing qualifications in midwifery, public health, or specialist nursing are an advantage.
