About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University, a prestigious federal institution established in 1962 and located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Catering Officer. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food and hospitality services across our vibrant campus, supporting students, staff, and visitors within our residential areas and service centers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily planning, preparation, and supervision of meals and catering services across campus facilities.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with institutional and health regulations.
- Supervise kitchen and dining hall staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
- Manage inventory levels of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and utensils, reporting shortages promptly.
- Assist in organizing special university events, banquets, and official functions as required.
- National Diploma (ND) in Catering and Hotel Management or Hospitality Management from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
