About the Role
Robert Walters is hiring a dedicated Analyst specialising in Financial Institutions reporting to join our client's dynamic team based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will evaluate credit and risk profiles across various sectors, ensuring our clients receive insightful, high-quality financial research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth, high-quality research on credit trends and author thought-leading reports on financial institutions, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions.
- Establish yourself as a recognised authority on your assigned portfolio of rated entities.
- Analyse and interpret complex financial statements with a solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Monitor and report on topical issues affecting Nigeria's financial services sector, regulatory environments, and key industry drivers.
- Manage multiple analytical tasks efficiently to meet tight publication deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in credit or risk assessment within the financial sector.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce timely research reports.
