About the Role
Distinct Star Schools was founded on the firm belief that every child is a star and that our job is to create the right environment for our stars to shine. Starting as a crèche in January 2010, Distinct Star has expanded to include both a primary and an international college with over 500sqm of learning spaces. We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Agric Teacher to join our dynamic academic team in Nigeria, inspiring young minds to appreciate agriculture and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging, effective classroom and practical agricultural science lessons for students.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the approved curriculum and educational standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and gender-neutral learning environment that supports holistic child development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive and safe learning atmosphere for all learners.
- Utilize basic ICT tools for lesson delivery, digital record-keeping, and seamless communication with parents.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic and personal growth.
- Formal qualification in Education or a related field, such as a B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent certification.
- Proven background in education and training with strong knowledge of relevant agricultural science curricula.
- Demonstrated experience in effective classroom management and working with school learners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with learners, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in basic ICT tools for modern teaching and administrative record-keeping.
