About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment, working alongside seasoned industry experts.
Key Responsibilities- Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, code expenses, and prepare payments for Accounts Payable.
- Generate customer invoices, track incoming payments, record deposits, and follow up on overdue accounts for Accounts Receivable.
- Match bank statements and general ledgers accurately to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Input daily financial transactions, journal entries, and receipts into our accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Organize, file, and secure both digital and physical financial documents efficiently.
- Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures and pull documentation for internal or external audits.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must reside within Ajah, Lagos or its immediate environs for easy commuting.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy with numerical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
