About the Role
Incel Tourism LLC, a leading Destination Management Company based in Dubai with a fully-fledged office in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant - Travel to join our dynamic finance team. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate accounting records, performing complex reconciliations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and safeguarding company assets within the thriving Sub-Saharan African travel and tourism market.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Review and reconcile Daily Sales Reports (DSR) against bookings, invoices, and receipts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage IATA BSP reconciliations, airline settlement requirements, credit facilities, and remittances.
- Handle accounts receivable and payable, monitoring customer aging reports and processing vendor payments.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and liquidity.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations including PAYE, Pension, VAT, and Withholding Tax.
- Support internal controls, risk management, and periodic fixed asset verification exercises.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience strictly within the Travel, Tourism, Aviation, or Hospitality industry.
- Mandatory possession of or advanced stages in professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or ANAN.
- Strong working knowledge of IATA BSP systems, airline accounting processes, and Nigerian tax laws.
- Proficiency in modern ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
