About the Role
Westfield Consulting is a premier management consultancy firm dedicated to enhancing organizational performance and driving business success. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee our Payables and Receivables. In this role, you will manage vital financial transactions related to suppliers, contractors, and clients while ensuring strict compliance with local financial standards and Nigerian tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Process vendor invoices accurately, verify details, ensure timely payments, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Generate client invoices, track collections, manage credit control, and follow up on overdue accounts for service contracts.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on payables and receivables to assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, haulage, and marine services to align financial records with project delivery.
- Implement internal controls, mitigate financial risks, and liaise seamlessly with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically within the oil and gas or related sectors.
- Active professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is strictly required.
- Robust proficiency in IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and enterprise resource planning software like SAP or Oracle.
