About the Role
Christopher University, established by Translucent Management Services, bridges the gap between academia and industry through a strong focus on management sciences and corporate collaboration. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our dynamic Bursary department as an Accountant I at our Mowe, Ogun State campus.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems in accordance with university standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial statements, and periodic management reports.
- Process payroll, vendor invoices, and staff claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with internal financial controls.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any financial discrepancies promptly.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial obligations and tax regulations.
- Candidate must possess a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years (for B.Sc. holders) or 6 years (for HND holders) of post-qualification cognate accounting experience.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ANAN will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
