About the Role
Adventure Capital Group, a leading venture capital investor known for backing high-growth ventures across Nigeria, is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the power sector. In this vital role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and cost control to support our growing energy investments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor operational expenditures, project costs, and departmental budgets to ensure optimal financial performance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, cash flow forecasting, and payment verifications.
- Ensure timely computation, filing, and remittance of statutory taxes including VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, manage inventory records, and support internal and external audits.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience within the power, energy, engineering, or industrial services sector.
- Must be a certified Chartered Accountant with strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and IFRS.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and enterprise accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
