About the Role
Growth in Value Alliance (GV Alliance) Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and supporting our overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage all statutory obligations, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, Pension, and NSITF.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyse monthly and annual budgets, cash flow planning, and working capital management.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise effectively with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory ICAN or ACCA professional certification.
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within audit, tax consulting, or professional services firms.
- Strong practical knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software or ERP systems.
