About the Role
Evans Industries, a leading ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing company with over 20 years of excellence in producing quality home and personal care products, is looking for a dedicated Factory Accountant. In this role, you will manage all factory-related financial activities, drive cost efficiency, and ensure robust financial reporting to support our continued growth in the Nigerian market.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate costing systems, monitoring standard versus actual production costs and analyzing variances.
- Track, value, and reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory with physical counts.
- Assist in preparing factory operational budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Collaborate with HR, procurement, and production teams to monitor labor efficiency and optimize operational costs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG accounting role.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, advanced MS Excel, and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity.
