About the Role
Joseph's Pot Owerri, a premier dining destination redefining Nigerian cuisine through tradition and innovation, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of our establishment, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting business growth in the heart of Owerri.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and daily sales reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory deductions, and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and payroll processing.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, or retail sector.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
- Excellent numerical skills with high attention to detail and strong ethical standards.
