About the Role
Coleman Technical Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer of electrical wires and cables in West Africa, is seeking a competent, analytical, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic Finance and Accounts Department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures to support our continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, general ledger postings, and month-end closing activities.
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company financial policies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration, and general expense tracking.
- Assist in preparing management reports, budgets, financial forecasts, and cost accounting evaluations.
- Coordinate the filing of statutory tax returns including VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting or related numerate disciplines.
- Active membership in ICAN or ACCA is mandatory.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise accounting software such as ERP or Sage.
- Must reside within Arepo, Ogun State, or within easy commuting distance of the facility.
