About the Role
Fountain University, established by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is seeking a dedicated and professionally qualified Accountant to join our esteemed institution. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger accounts in line with institutional policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and variance reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and statutory deductions (tax, pension, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Assist internal and external auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow to support the day-to-day operations of the university.
- Provide financial advisory and support to management on cost control and revenue optimization.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting with a minimum of a Second Class Lower division.
- Must be a professionally certified accountant with ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ANAN (Association of National Accountants of Nigeria).
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and absolute integrity.
