About the Role
Backline Outsourcing is expanding its dynamic finance operations team and is currently seeking a detail-oriented Account Receivable Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing invoicing, collections, and payment tracking for our diverse portfolio of clients. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external client finance departments to guarantee accurate billing, prompt collections, and pristine financial records. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispatch invoices accurately and on time, strictly based on service agreements and delivery milestones.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding receivables, meticulously track aging reports, and escalate overdue accounts professionally.
- Reconcile incoming payments against client accounts and effectively resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Post payments accurately and update accounting records using QuickBooks or similar modern financial systems.
- Maintain and regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to ensure all balances remain current and collectible.
- Provide essential support during month-end close activities, including comprehensive AR reconciliation and revenue recognition tasks.
- Demonstrated professional experience in accounts receivable management, invoicing, and payment posting.
- Proficiency in bank and payment reconciliation, AR aging analysis, and professional collections follow-up.
- Strong working proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Prior experience within a BPO or outsourcing environment managing multi-client, high-volume AR is a strong advantage.
- Professional accounting certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA are nice to have.
- Familiarity with alternative accounting software like Zoho Books or Odoo is an added bonus.
