We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Account Officer to join our finance team and contribute to our continued organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update accurate accounting records and financial files in compliance with company standards.
  • Analyze budgets and prepare detailed, comprehensive expense reports for management review.
  • Examine bank statements and accurately reconcile them with general ledger entries.
  • Review and verify employee expense claims to ensure policy adherence.
  • Ensure proper financial documentation and full compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes efficiently.
  • Ensure the timely processing of vendor payments and other financial transactions.
  • Assist internal and external audit exercises to ensure smooth financial reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Officer or in a similar corporate finance role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local financial regulations and standard accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on alternate Saturdays in a month.
  • Proximity to Surulere and surrounding environs will be considered an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications will be viewed favourably.
