We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Account Officer to join our finance team and contribute to our continued organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update accurate accounting records and financial files in compliance with company standards.
- Analyze budgets and prepare detailed, comprehensive expense reports for management review.
- Examine bank statements and accurately reconcile them with general ledger entries.
- Review and verify employee expense claims to ensure policy adherence.
- Ensure proper financial documentation and full compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports for senior stakeholders.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes efficiently.
- Ensure the timely processing of vendor payments and other financial transactions.
- Assist internal and external audit exercises to ensure smooth financial reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
- Proven work experience as an Account Officer or in a similar corporate finance role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Comprehensive understanding of local financial regulations and standard accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on alternate Saturdays in a month.
- Proximity to Surulere and surrounding environs will be considered an added advantage.
