About the Role
The Emel Group, a leading business conglomerate in Nigeria with over four decades of excellence, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic business objectives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations within our expanding enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations efficiently.
- Prepare management accounts and submit relevant supporting schedules.
- Assist the investor relations team with key financial deliverables and ad-hoc requests.
- Ensure timely remittance of all statutory deductions.
- Coordinate the implementation of approved accounting policies and process improvements.
- Support treasury, liquidity, and investment strategies.
- Assist in the budget preparation and tracking processes.
- Address and resolve all audit-related queries and inquiries promptly.
- Perform any other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Professional accounting certification or progress toward relevant qualifications is an added advantage.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a structured corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
