We are currently seeking a smart, diligent, and proactive Account Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria, helping us maintain financial excellence as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily accounting, financial transactions, and accurate bookkeeping.
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and accounting documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledgers.
- Support bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable activities efficiently.
- Support the preparation of periodic financial reports, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor and properly document operational expenses with appropriate supporting records.
- Assist with internal and external audits, month-end processes, and ad-hoc finance assignments.
- Ensure strict compliance with established accounting procedures, tax laws, and internal controls.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Possession of ICAN, ACCA, or relevant professional certification is a strong added advantage.
