About the Role
Gardenia Resort, a premier family-owned boutique hotel in Port Harcourt, is seeking a passionate and professional Waiter/Waitress to join its hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering outstanding dining experiences to corporate executives, business travelers, and premium leisure guests in a refined, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and attend to guests promptly, courteously, and professionally
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar
- Serve meals and drinks in line with the resort's quality and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of dining and service areas
- Provide menu recommendations and respond to guest inquiries with confidence
- Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and escalate when necessary
- Process payments accurately and manage billing procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Support other front-of-house duties as required to enhance guest satisfaction
- Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a hotel or resort setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and a professional appearance
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of food, beverage, and etiquette standards
