Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians during animal examinations, surgical procedures, and routine medical treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms, surgical instruments, and medical equipment prior to procedures.
- Monitor animals recovering from anesthesia and report any changes in their condition to the lead veterinarian.
- Provide daily feeding, watering, and basic hygiene care for animals housed at the facility.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and topical treatments as prescribed by veterinary professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and inventory levels of veterinary supplies.
- Ensure that all animal holding areas and clinic spaces adhere to strict sanitation and safety protocols.
- Handle client communications with empathy, providing post-treatment care instructions and general guidance.
- Minimum of a relevant diploma, certification, or academic qualification in Animal Health, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of proven professional experience working as a Veterinary Assistant or in a comparable animal care role.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- High level of empathy, patience, and physical stamina required for handling various animals.
