About the Role

A4&T Power, a leading EPC company in the Renewable Energy sector, is seeking an experienced Utility Commercial Supervisor to oversee the commercial management of our utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is critical to ensuring the financial and contractual success of our Solar Home System (SHS), Mini-Grid, Roof-Top, and C&I projects, which deliver clean and accessible energy to homes, SMEs, communities, and corporate offices across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of utility-scale renewable energy projects across their entire lifecycle, from development to operations.
  • Manage and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), energy sales contracts, and grid connection agreements with utility partners and off-takers.
  • Monitor revenue performance, billing accuracy, and collections from utility and off-taker contracts to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Manage contract risks, variations, and claims in close collaboration with legal, finance, and project teams.
  • Support the structuring of commercial models for new renewable energy ventures and partnerships.
  • Track and analyse market trends, tariffs, and regulatory changes that may impact project profitability.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and utility companies to ensure compliance with grid codes and industry standards.
  • Prepare commercial performance reports and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or professional certification (MBA, CFA, PMP) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a commercial role within a renewable energy company.
  • Proven experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, or hybrid).
  • Strong understanding of electricity markets, tariffs, PPAs, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
