About the Role
Berries World Montessori School, a reputable private institution in Bwari, Federal Capital Territory, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Upper Grade Teacher to join its academic team. As an Upper Grade Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the intellectual and personal growth of students, fostering a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, discipline, and academic excellence. You will work closely with the school's leadership and fellow teachers to ensure learners receive a well-rounded, engaging, and effective education.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, well-structured, and effective classroom instruction tailored to learners' needs.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials in line with the curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and accurately report on learners' academic progress and development.
- Actively participate in school programmes, staff meetings, and continuous professional development activities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, organised, and learner-centred classroom environment at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management to uphold the school's academic and Montessori values.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding learners' progress and welfare.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Science, Mathematics, English, or a related field.
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E.).
- Prior teaching experience is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners effectively.
- Strong proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and learner assessment.
- Good digital and ICT skills for modern classroom instruction.
