Jobtion Consulting, a premier human capital and workforce solutions firm in Nigeria, is currently recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client for an experienced Toddler & Nursery Class Teacher. We are looking for a dedicated educator who can foster a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, helping them build strong foundational skills during their crucial early years of development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based lessons for Toddler and Nursery classes focusing on EYFS areas like communication, physical development, literacy, and mathematics.
- Use phonics, number play, songs, rhymes, and stories to build foundational learning skills.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and overall well-being of all children in the classroom at all times.
- Manage combined age groups effectively with patience, creativity, and individualized care.
- Observe, assess, and maintain accurate records of each child's progress and developmental milestones.
- Build positive, transparent relationships with parents by providing daily feedback on feeding, toileting, behavior, and learning.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, nannies, and fellow Early Years educators while upholding school safeguarding and health policies.
- NCE or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
- 3 to 4 years of proven experience handling Toddler and Nursery combined classes in a reputable school or crèche.
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework; Montessori approach is an added advantage.
- Must be exceptionally patient, loving, energetic, and truly passionate about early childhood development.
- Possess excellent communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
- Must currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria.
