About the Role
Monarch Techno Engineering Solutions (MTES) is seeking a highly experienced Technical Safety & Environmental Engineer to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This role is critical to ensuring that safety, environmental, and regulatory standards are embedded into every phase of our Oil & Gas, Pipeline, and EPC project deliveries.
As a Technical Safety & Environmental Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning activities, ensuring designs meet international codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify risks, drive safety studies, and deliver robust technical documentation that supports safe and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical safety and environmental engineering support across FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning phases.
- Conduct and participate in HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and other risk assessment studies.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards including ASME, API, ANSI, NACE, IEC, and ISO.
- Review and develop technical safety deliverables, philosophies, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with process, piping, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to integrate safety requirements into overall project design.
- Utilize engineering software tools to model, analyze, and validate safety and process systems.
- Support environmental impact assessments and ensure regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve technical safety issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare technical reports, safety cases, and project documentation for internal and client review.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline).
- 8–15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, or EPC projects.
- Proven track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, or Commissioning phases.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, NACE, IEC, ISO, etc.).
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, P&ID, HYSYS, E3D, ETAP, and CAESAR II.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong interdisciplinary coordination and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in preparing technical documentation and project deliverables.
