About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private tertiary institution located in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC). We are dedicated to providing world-class higher education and fostering innovation. Our ICT Unit is currently seeking a skilled and motivated System Programmer I to maintain, develop, and optimize our core technological infrastructure, ensuring seamless digital operations for students, faculty, and administrative staff across the university.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust system software and applications to support university operations.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to integrate software solutions with existing low-level hardware and operating systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical bottlenecks, and implement proactive optimization strategies.
- Provide technical support for university-wide digital platforms, ensuring high availability and robust data security.
- Document system architectures, software updates, and operational procedures for knowledge management.
- Possession of a good honors degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Informatics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification professional experience, preferably within a university or comparable higher education institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing high-performance programming languages for software development.
- Sound technical knowledge and practical experience with low-level hardware and diverse operating systems will be a distinct advantage.
