We are currently seeking a polished, articulate, and detail-oriented Switchboard Operator (PBX) to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the central communication hub, delivering exceptional telephone etiquette and ensuring seamless connectivity for our high-profile guests, residents, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and operate the Private Branch Exchange (PBX) switchboard efficiently, handling incoming, outgoing, and internal calls with utmost professionalism.
- Greet callers warmly, ascertain their needs, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel or departments promptly.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel services, amenities, and resident inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Handle emergency communications calmly and effectively, following established protocol to alert management and security teams.
- Log messages accurately and relay them to guests and staff in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation at all times.
- Minimum of OND / WSSCE or relevant academic qualifications in hospitality management, communication studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a PBX Operator, Switchboard Operator, or Front Office Receptionist within a luxury hotel, resort, or corporate environment.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with a clear, neutral speaking voice and active listening abilities.
- Proficiency in using hotel property management systems (PMS) and modern switchboard equipment.
- Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor.
